
On October 21 and 22, the Auditorium “Vivaldi” of the Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria in Turin will host the conference “Musica e letteratura al tempo di Dante”, organised by the University of Turin to commemorate the seven-hundredth anniversary of Dante’s death. During the first session, Daniele Sabaino will speak about the tonal organisation of some motet collections of the fourteenth century; during the second one, Michele Epifani will discuss the relation between Ars Nova and Stilnovo; in the fourth session, Antonio Calvia will illustrate the reception of Dante’s works in the secular Florentine polyphony of the second half of the Trecento.
